The 2007 festival bought together acclaimed writers, directors and artists from across Morocco and the world together in a rich forum of debate and cooperation. It grew in the number of participants and attendees and was coordinated by Clare Azzougarh.

The main Visual Arts Exhibition, curated by Abdellah Karroum, focused on South African photography at the Marrakech Museum. Fringe events were also staged at venues such as Riad Magi, ESAV Film School, the Royal Theatre and Ksour Agafay. Among them was the L’appartement 22 show, an art collective curated by Abdellah Karroum. And once again, writers and creatives met at El Fenn to debate, discuss and forge links between communities. Participants included writers Yassin Adnan and Zadie Smith, actor Richard E. Grant, vocalist Sussan Deyhim, composer Richard Horowitz, director and producer Christopher Hampton and artists including Zanele Muhole, Guy Tillim and Nontsikelelo Veleko.
